Gran Turismo 7's Spec IV update introduces the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo, an electric hypercar concept built around a strong aerodynamic balance between straight-line efficiency and cornering downforce. Check the PlayStation Blog for the original details.

The update also adds other cars including the Ferrari F355 Berlinetta '94, Honda Civic Si Group A '87 and Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Evo '26, expanding the range of classic and modern machinery available to players.

Polyphony Digital's announcement also covers new events and a first look at the Gran Turismo limited-edition DualSense wireless controller, tying the update to the series' wider celebration of automotive design and racing culture.

The car selection is especially varied for one update. The F355 and Civic bring older machinery into the mix, while the Xiaomi concept and Mazda race car push in a much more modern direction, giving players several very different silhouettes and performance philosophies to sample.

Spec IV is therefore more than a single headline car. Between the additional vehicles, new events and the limited-edition DualSense reveal, the update packages new driving content together with the broader Gran Turismo presentation that Polyphony Digital is using around this release.

Spec IV Part 1 is a free update for all Gran Turismo 7 players. Beyond the new cars, Polyphony Digital lists Sportsland Sugo, six new World Circuit events, new Scapes locations, Car Viewer features and an Experience mode among the additions.

The Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo uses a teardrop cockpit, large body cutouts and air ducts to manage airflow. Polyphony's post says simulated testing produced a 0.29 drag coefficient while still targeting the high-downforce needs of an electric hypercar.

The Gran Turismo Limited Edition DualSense is scheduled to launch globally starting December 10. Pre-orders begin October 22 through PlayStation Direct where available and participating retailers, with a recommended US price of $84.99.

Sony's original update announcement identifies Sportsland Sugo as the new circuit and lists six vehicles in Spec IV Part 1, alongside six new World Circuits events, additional Scapes locations, Car Viewer features and an Experience mode. These additions serve different players: a new circuit changes where races take place, fresh events give existing car collections additional objectives, and Scapes provides locations for automotive photography. The Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo is available through Brand Central in the game, according to PlayStation's official post.

The Gran Turismo-themed DualSense is a separate hardware announcement, not a reward for downloading the update. Sony describes a racing-inspired front plate and confirms a limited-quantity global launch on December 10, 2026, with preorders opening October 22 where offered. Pricing, stock and the ordering window vary by market. Drivers interested only in the free game update do not need the special controller, and players considering the hardware should use their regional PlayStation retailer page rather than assume a globally identical offer.
