Marvel Cosmic Invasion: The Siege of Castle Doom DLC introduces a new Beat Em Up gameplay mode where players battle through Doctor Doom’s Castle Doomstadt to stop his Cosmic Inductor from becoming Earth’s Champion. The mode features a Siege Gauge that fills when heroes lose fights in the castle’s halls, while victories generate batteries to charge a Stabilizer that slows Doom’s progress. Check the PlayStation Blog for the original details. For the related official page, see Marvel Cosmic Invasion.

The DLC includes four new mechanics: Events (temporary rule changes), Heal (healing), Infinite (unlimited ammo or focus), and Progression (collecting batteries for Stabilizers). Players navigate medieval-themed environments with blizzards freezing castle battlements and treacherous elevator platforms in the Tower of Solitude, choosing directions via themed doors.

The Siege of Castle Doom has more than five times the encounters of the main game without additional environmental challenges. Perks systems offer Offense, Defense, and Tactical branches that apply individually to each hero, enabling strategic team builds for enhanced combat effectiveness.

Completing runs unlocks new palettes for heroes and additional content through Reed Richards’ Lab, where players expand experience and access new equipment, events, and modifiers. A multiplayer MVP system rewards top performers based on run statistics.

The DLC adds The Invisible Woman and Doctor Doom as new playable characters to Marvel Cosmic Invasion. It launches exclusively for PlayStation 5 on November 10, 2026, addressing player demand for replayable content through dynamic decision-making and evolving gameplay mechanics.

Players must carefully manage the Siege Gauge and gather enough batteries to create Stabilizers before reaching Doctor Doom, who is charging his Cosmic Inductor to become Earth’s Champion. Themed doors and environmental hazards ensure each run offers unique navigation challenges.
